Dr. Beverly Ann Brunner Garrett, affectionately known as Dr. G more was born in Tylertown, Mississippi and later moved to Franklinton, Louisiana where she now resides, coupled with the love and support of her husband Lonnie E. Garrett. She is the founding Senior Pastor of Bread of Life Center in Franklinton, LA.  

 

Dr. G is a celebrated teacher, wife, beloved mother, mentor, popular radio host and spirit-led preacher of God’s Word. 

 

Dr. G has been saved for over thirty years; she has been evangelizing for over twenty years. She began her spiritual life in the apostolic faith under the tutelage of the late Bishop Phillip Coleman, Sr. of Greater Bethlehem Temple in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Garrett continued to fully embrace the word of God with an unquenched fire and knew it had to be shared with others. While spreading the gospel evangelizing she was called by the Lord to shepherd in 2001 ordained as Pastor of Spirit and Truth Ministries in Indiana. It was in 2004 when God directed her and her family to move to Tennessee where she founded Bread of Life Center.

 

Her educational accomplishments consist of a Bachelor degree in Business administration, Masters in Christian Family Counseling, and a Doctorate in Divinity from Seven Steps of Glory Christian University in Mableton, Georgia. 

 

Humility, compassion, and integrity are the characteristics that best describe the ministry of Dr. G. While Dr. G’s style of transparency and her heartfelt love of God are evident, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ had to be established. Her passionate resolve for God has been deeply rooted by the journey. She gives God the glory for bringing her through adversity and obstacles such as overcoming being homeless, sleeping in her car with her small children, to triumphing over a vision disabling brain tumor, to even victoriously overriding the perils of previous marital and sexual abuse. She has personal experience of what trusting, leaning on, and diligently seeking God is all about. She stands on the firm principle that in life there will be friends and adversaries, triumphs and setbacks; Dr. G teaches that, “Restoration and wholeness can always be found through Christ Jesus.“

 

When God returned her natural sight, healing the tumor, God also bestowed Dr. G with the spiritual gift of prophetic word, including receiving a vision that she was to preach the gospel of Christ around the world.

 

Raised in the apostolic principles believing in spiritual signs and wonders (Mark 16:17-18), her church ministry is held Non-Denominational; Dr. G says and believes, “People will be saved from all walks of life.” As her church grows, Dr. G continues to be an inspiration to those she comes in contact with through a fivefold ministry. God has also anointed Dr. G with the power of a Healing Ministry. Her prophetic word reaches the voiceless with a message of hope, holiness, and righteousness. She shares God’s living word with all who seek. God has blessed her to minister to singles, couples, and families. She truly believes in walking by faith and is currently called “The Faith Walker.” Dr. G states that, “We should love one another as so Christ Jesus has loved us but first foremost we are to have a heart for God.

 

Today, as a renowned requested healer, a dynamic speaker, counselor and teacher of the gospel, under obedience to the Holy Spirit; Dr. G continues to travel extensively to fulfill her mandated mission to transform lives, heal hearts, and win souls.
